Requirements:

Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and/or Class 3 with air breaks driver's license. Must provide clean drivers abstract. Ability to demonstrate safe driving and equipment operation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to mechanically collect solid waste and transport it to post-collection facilities. Open container enclosures or gates to access cans and position 3-4-yard cans on castors for dumping as needed. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections, completing and submitting vehicle condition reports. Courteously interact with customers and the general public, addressing questions or requests and notifying supervisors of any issues requiring management action. Maintain cleanliness and safety by cleaning loose trash off the truck and ground around the truck and container during the dumping process. Maneuver the truck into and out of minimum clearance spaces, utilizing mirrors for backing up. Utilize key maps and GPS to locate service addresses and follow safe operating practices, including lockout/tagout procedures. Monitor operations to detect loose debris, visually scanning customer sites before and after dumping. Demonstrate physical capability to lift/move various weights according to job requirements. Adhere to all safety standards, equipment checks, and precautions, ensuring compliance with federal, state/provincial, local, and company rules on safety and vehicle operation. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
