POSITION TYPE FULL-TIME
We are seeking an Expediter to join our Engineering Standards & Support Services Department. Under the general direction of the Long-Term Planning Lead, facilitate the required collaboration, documentation, and optimized business processes key in producing a transparent and continuously improving Asset Management Plan (AMP).
Responsibilities:
Prepare and coordinate tender documents, including technical and administrative aspects, for the timely obtainment of a variety of materials and services. Review of these documents prior to issuance project needs, corporate interests, and government legislation are incorporated. Provide procurement guidance and support for material and service purchases including framework agreement and service contract set up. Proactively expedite all material purchases for Engineering Division and/or assigned customer group. Create purchase requisitions and stock transfer orders in SAP; coordinate and administration of Purchase Orders against existing Outline Agreements, and completion of Service Entries and Goods Receipts (when necessary). Assist with the strategic forecasting of the assigned customer group on material requirements. Responsible for records management activities of all work request and related documents. Provide training and guidance to department staff regarding the procurement process and corporate policies.Qualifications:
A four-year related degree from a university of recognized standing plus two years related experience in purchasing and expediting functions.OR
A two-year diploma in Business Administration from an institute of recognized standing plus a minimum of four years' related experience in the purchasing and expediting functions.OR
A two-year diploma from an institute of recognized standing plus completion of Year 2 in the SCMP program and minimum of three years related experience in the purchasing and expediting functions. Proven proficiency and extensive experience with the SAP system including MMS and PSM modules. Demonstrated ability to use computer application such as Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Office 365 skills and SAP/PS/MM. Practical knowledge of materials and services, their uses, and a general knowledge of engineering and construction materials. Background in SCM as well as experience in creating, implementing, and managing contracts considered to be an asset. Good knowledge of related materials carried by Central Stores, Material Management as standard stock items. Thorough understanding of corporate purchasing policies and procedures. Capable of planning and executing multiple assignments and projects within minimum direction and supervision. Demonstrated high degree of diplomacy, initiative, and ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels, both internally and externally to the Corporation. Demonstrated ability to negotiate. Strong organizational skills with the ability to schedule work to meet defined deadlines. Good understanding of the application of sales taxes and custom import duties. Possess a valid Class 5 Province of Manitoba Driver's Licence.-
