Reporting to the Supervisor, QA/QC, the Inspector is accountable for inspection activities related to Fixed Equipment at the Redwater Nitrogen Operations (RNO). The Inspector will be responsible for assessing the integrity and safety of equipment and executing the inspection needs at RNO. 

What you will do:

Be accountable for and maintain compliance with our Nutrien Pressure Equipment Integrity Management System program. Assess the mechanical integrity and safety of fixed equipment as well as the execution of all inspection activities for assigned area. Collaborate with other unit inspectors and assist with inspection activities when required. Support the Inspection Team on long term inspection initiatives, such as the Piping RBI program, TA and outage planning and execution, continuous improvement initiatives and developing and maintaining site inspection standards and procedures. Ensure equipment inspections are completed within assigned area with focus on maintaining Zero overdue. Update ABSA Electronic Summary Report as Required. Report monthly and quarterly inspection key performance indicators within assigned area, including initiating NCR’s and implementing corrective action plans. Initiate capital project replacements based on inspection results and support project development. Lead operational risk reviews (ORM’s) for inspection deferrals. Develop Inspection and Test Plans and collaborate with maintenance engineering and the planning team in the development of work execution packages. Develop, maintain, and own department procedures, checklists, and work practice documents. Assist the inspection team with turnarounds, planned and unplanned outages.

What you will bring:

Technical Institute Diploma, or Journeyperson Trade Certificate in a related discipline API 510, API 570, and ABSA In-Service Pressure Equipment Inspector Certification is required. Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry experience Knowledgeable in the Alberta Safety Codes Act and supporting ABSA pressure equipment regulations as well as relevant ASME codes, standards, and NDT inspection techniques pertaining to fixed equipment and piping. Proficiency in SAP and Vision's Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
