Shift Schedule: 7/7

Hours: 12 hours daily

Accommodations: On site camp

Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton or Calgary

Equipment Required: 4x4 1500 series truck (less than 10 years old) and tools

Position Scope:

Construct, erect and repair buildings and other structures made of wood, wood substitutes, steel, and other materials, as needed. Follow all OH&S and Cenovus Safety Standards, Practices and Work procedures; Participate in Cenovus toolbox, monthly safety meetings and other meetings as directed by the Coordinator NPI Trades; Assist the Coordinator NPI Trades to identify maintenance and shutdown priorities; Report all hazardous conditions, near misses and accidents; Identify improvement opportunities for equipment and maintenance activities; Participate in rotational on-call for after hours work and respond, as required; Perform routine preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and equipment troubleshooting activities; Use Cenvous’s SAP system for maintenance notifications, maintenance work, parts, maintenance records and maintenance work schedules; Participate in the maintenance planning and scheduling process and perform work as required by the plans and schedule; Assist the Cenovus Coordinator NPI Trades in achieving desired maintenance KPI’s including cost, schedule, safety and quality.

Competency Requirements:

Proficient in general carpentry tasks, with growing skills in blueprint reading and code compliance. Supports larger projects with planning and execution. Familiar with basic abatement procedures. Good understanding of carpentry principles, including framing, drywall installation, and basic finish work. Effective in project support and environmental safety practices.

Trade Certification Requirements:

Carpentry Trade Certification with additional courses in blueprint reading.

Safety Certification Requirements:

Valid Class 5 driver’s license
