The Opportunity:
Hudbay Minerals Inc. is seeking a Mine Surveyor at our Lalor Mine in Snow Lake, MB. This position is a 7/7 schedule and will report to the Chief Mine Engineer.
There is a camp available while on shift for those who wish to drive in and out to Snow Lake. Please note that this opportunity is NOT a fly-in-fly-out position.
Primary Function:
Surveys and takes measurements of development headings and stopes in order to update plans, direct miners for line and grade and gather information for bonus calculations.
Prerequisites:
Preference will be given to a graduate of approved Technological or Engineering Program Minimum of five (5) years underground planning and surveying experience Must possess excellent communication skills, be computer literate and able to work with minimal direction Please include all required tickets, training, education or experience requirements to be considered qualified for the position.Compensation Package:
Profit sharing, full benefits package beginning day 1 of employment and pension.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $35.30-42.71 /hour
