What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for delivering legendary service to make all guests of our Co-op feel “at home here” through:

Supervising and delegating employees’ workflow and duties while ensuring all staff are following safety standards as well as Legacy Co-op's policies and procedures. Completing reviews on Team Members, onboarding, training, and providing frequent communication and coaching  Obtaining knowledge of liquor merchandise in order to assist customers and make recommendations.  Responsible for opening and closing procedures. Demonstrate leadership in the operation of the POS system including liquor, tobacco and lottery sales.  Ordering stock as required. Responsible for maintaining housekeeping standards within the department.

You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do. Grade 12 certificate. Must have Retail experience in the areas of customer service and merchandising.   Demonstrate the ability to obtain extensive experience and knowledge in liquor products, tobacco, lottery etc. and sales and marketing. 1-year supervisory experience would be an asset WHMIS, OHC 1 & 2, Supervision & Safety, should have or willing to take Serve it Right certification. Believe in building relationship and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives. Can work with minimum supervision in the general day -to- day duties and discuss and builds consensus with the manager on complex situations.  Willing and able to work all shifts scheduled including days, evenings, holidays and weekends. Maintain good physical condition, physically able to do heavy lifting of 50 lbs, climb ladders and kneel. Able to maintain confidentiality and deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
