The Pipefitter is responsible for the layout, assembly, installation and maintenance of piping systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain piping and associated systems adhering to acts and regulations to company standards
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures, to minimize downtime and maintenance costs, and manage equipment efficiencies 
  • Operating accessory equipment for pipe fitting (pipe beveling, pipe threading, pipe cutting, torch or plasma cutter, drill press)
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal pipe, valves and fittings.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • H2S Alive
  • Confined Space Entry and/or Rescue
  • CSTS 09
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Journeyman Ticket
  • Understanding of control systems is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situation
