Mechanical Lead Engineer (MLE)
Purpose of the Job
Managing one Mechanical Domain resources, activities and deliverables on a project in compliance with QCD commitments.
Applying applicable Mechanical Domain instructions, processes & tools.

Responsibilities

Performing project Mechanical Domain activities in compliance with QCD commitments. 

Planning and piloting Mechanical Domain activities and related deliverables on project taking into account applicable instructions/processes and other specific Customer (internal or external) requirements.

Ensuring Mechanical Domain deliverables quality and their acceptance by the Customer (internal or external) within committed limits.


Responsible for : 

Planning and piloting Mechanical Domain activities and related deliverables on project taking into account applicable instructions/processes and other specific Customer (internal or external) requirements. Applying TD rules, processes and tools (single-domain) and ensuring Mechanical Domain deliverables quality and their acceptance by the Customer (internal or external) within committed limits. Managing production of deliverables in accordance with planning targets on Mechanical Domain assigned work packages. Designing products taking into account project requirements (performances, manufacturability, serviceability, testability, etc.). Preparing and documenting Mechanical Domain Design Reviews according to project schedule and following-up the main open actions. Coordinating Mechanical Domain contributors on Project. Validating relevant Mechanical Domain deliverables and securing planning. Verifying design via mock-ups or simulations.

Contributor for :

Perform quotation of engineering workpackage , upon request Defining Project Mechanical Decomposition (PBS) Defining Mechanical Project/Product Prefered Part List (3PL) delivery. Supporting Sourcing, Industrialization and Manufacturing teams during Production ramp-up. Collaborating with MDL for continuous improvement of the Domain (including RoE) Defining Mechanical Domain architecture taking into account weight, gauge, installation strategy, acoustics, eco design, ergonomics, aerodynamics, aeraulics… Establishing Certification & Validation Plans for TD scope.

Knowledge & Experience

Mechanical Engineering preferably applied to Railway products with 2 to 3 years of experience. Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer). Sense of urgency / priority. Customer & Product Focus. Structured and organised with Hands-on approach. French & English operational in read/writing and technical meetings.

Responsabilités

Réaliser les activités du domaine mécanique du projet conformément aux engagements QCD. Planifier et piloter les activités du domaine mécanique et les livrables associés sur le projet en tenant compte des instructions/processus et autres exigences spécifiques du Client (internes ou externes). Assurer la qualité des livrables du Domaine Mécanique et leur acceptation par le Client (interne ou externe) dans les limites engagées.

Responsable de :

Planifier et piloter les activités du domaine mécanique et les livrables associés sur le projet en tenant compte des instructions/processus et autres exigences spécifiques du Client (internes ou externes). Appliquer les règles, processus et outils TD (domaine unique) et assurer la qualité des livrables du domaine mécanique et leur acceptation par le Client (interne ou externe) dans les limites engagées. Gérer la production des livrables conformément aux objectifs de planification des lots de travaux assignés au domaine mécanique. Concevoir des produits en tenant compte des exigences du projet (performances, fabricabilité, facilité de service, testabilité, etc.). Préparer et documenter les revues de conception du domaine mécanique selon le calendrier du projet et suivre les principales actions ouvertes. Coordonner les contributeurs du domaine mécanique sur le projet. Valider les livrables pertinents du domaine mécanique et sécuriser la planification. Vérification de la conception via des maquettes ou des simulations.

Effectuer un devis pour le lot de travaux d'ingénierie, sur demande Définir la décomposition mécanique du projet (PBS) Définition de la livraison de la liste de pièces préférées du projet/produit mécanique (3PL). Accompagner les équipes Sourcing, Industrialisation et Fabrication lors de la montée en puissance de la Production. Collaborer avec MDL pour l'amélioration continue du Domaine (y compris RoE) Définir l'architecture du Domaine Mécanique en tenant compte du poids, du gabarit, de la stratégie d'installation, de l'acoustique, de l'écoconception, de l'ergonomie aérodynamique, aéraulique… Établir des plans de certification et de validation pour la portée TD.

Connaissance et expérience

Génie Mécanique appliqué de préférence aux produits Ferroviaires avec 2 à 3 ans d'expérience. Bonnes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles, y compris avec des tiers (client). Sentiment d'urgence/priorité. Orientation client et produit. Structuré et organisé avec une approche pratique. Français & Anglais opérationnel en lecture/écriture et réunions techniques.
