Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Managerwill oversee projects for a variety of clients and will work towards becoming the principal contact for a specific list of clients.
What you will be doing at Pinchin
Responsible for Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA, DSI and remediation projects, which includes budget creation and adherence, time management, cost tracking, scope of work definition, proposal preparation and presentation, and report and invoice preparationDirecting and supporting projects seeking Certificates of Compliance and other legal instruments from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change StrategyPrepare reports with recommendations Manage projects and ensure that they are completed on time and on budgetCommunicate with Clients and understand their project requirementsPrepare proposalsParticipate in initiatives with the Marketing department and develop business development skills to build new client relationships and maintain existing onesBuild leadership and mentorship skills by working with and mentoring junior staffWhat you bring to the Pinchin team
A Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Environmental or Earth Sciences preferred) or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Science8 - 15 years’ experience within environmental consulting Experience with conducting and managing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments for transactional due diligence or development purposesExperience with conducting Stage 1 and 2 Preliminary Site Investigations and Detailed Site Investigations in support of obtaining a legal instrument in accordance with the BC Environmental Management ActA P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation is not required, but is considered an assetExperience with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project related financial managementExperience with business development initiatives and client interactionValid driver’s licence and insurance are required (work related travel expenses will be compensated)Excellent oral and written communication skills & professional presentationHigh level of attention to detailWhat Pinchin offers you
