Lumentum is looking for Solution Software System Engineer (Test) Co-op to participate in the development of software for a new generation of disruptive metrology products and participate in creating a lean and agile development culture.
Key responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement testing strategies for integrated software and hardware systems.Create and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.Perform manual testing as needed to validate hardware and software interactions.Collaborate with software and hardware teams to understand product requirements and specifications.Identify, document, and track bugs and issues, ensuring timely resolution.Develop and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality.Education:
Working to complete a Bachelor or Master program in Engineering.Qualifications:
Experience in software and hardware integrated testing.Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks (, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).Experience with manual testing techniques and methodologies.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.Familiarity with hardware testing tools and equipment.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Assets:
Previous coop experience.Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.Familiarity with version control systems (, Git).Excited to grow your career?
