This Tool Crib Attendant Position Features:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tool Crib Attendant to join our machine shop team. As a Tool Crib Attendant, you will be responsible for managing the inventory of tools and equipment used in our machines, ensuring that they are properly stored, maintained, and issued to machinist and engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic machine shop environment and gain further experience in tool management.

Responsibilities:
Receive, store, and issue tools and equipment for our machines to machinist.
Keep inventory records and ensure that all tools and equipment are properly labeled and identified.
Perform regular maintenance checks on tools and equipment and ensure that they are in good working order.
Ensure that tools and equipment are returned in a timely manner and are properly cleaned and inspected.
Monitor inventory levels and order new supplies as needed.
Collaborate with machinist to ensure that they have the tools and equipment needed to perform their work.
Conduct regular audits of the tool crib to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized tool crib area and maintain tooling in shop environment.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a tool crib or inventory management role in a machine shop setting
Knowledge of machine shop tools and equipment and their proper use and maintenance
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will work closely with machinist and engineering team to ensure that they have the tools and equipment needed to perform their work.
