Position Details
What You Will Do
Management of both simple and complex incoming and outgoing subrogation files across multiple lines of claims Determines that proper reserves have been established Timely management of activities Ensures immediate and effective responses are provided through written/telephone communication to the following: insureds, third parties, experts Negotiating settlement of various claims, and negotiation plan leading to a reasonable settlement within the authority level, or as authorized by the Recovery Manager Demonstrates a good understanding of the current insurance legislations and legal processes Reviews legal budget for proper file reserving; review legal opinion and strategize with counsel and management for best anticipated outcome. Attend settlement conferences, discoveries, mediations, pretrial or trialWho You Are
Post-secondary education completed and equivalent work experience in a related field Minimum of 3 years experience in claims, subrogation or collections CIP/FCIP designation or Collection License an asset Paralegal experience as asset Property Claims Experience is an asset Excellent customer service experience Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work in cross functional teams High level of attention to detail Strong negotiations and analytical skillsWhat’s in it for you:
