Introduction
We are seeking an Information Technology Specialist to join our IT team. You will be responsible to manage all Metso IT (MIT) End User Engagement related activities and services delivered to Canada region not limited to additional responsibilities such as IT Operations, Support Services, Infrastructure, Network, Projects, and IT Security. Your role plays a crucial part in leading and managing the End User Engagement services and Infrastructure for all Metso sites in Canada and make sure satisfaction of all stakeholders. You will assist Canada IT Management with Operations, Support, Applications, Information Security and Service management. In this position, you will report to the Country IT Manager, Canada.
This position is mainly located in Montreal, QC, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. The role does include 20% travel.
What you’ll do
Evaluate and create solution proposals for business demand and requests. Responsible for IT standards in Canada, Device Management and other IT related item or acquisition definitions. Manage and deploying Change Requests. Support and act in global Projects/Activities. Provide reporting to Regional IT teams. Manage 3rd parties involved in EUE Processes. End User communication/ material translation/ training related to EUE subjects. Advanced troubleshooting of the services together with the vendors providing the services. Coordination with regional IT resources for local service delivery. Responsible in Canada for EUE tools/services:AD, Office 365, SharePoint, Access Management, Asset Management, Computer Definitions, OneDrive for Business, SCCM, Imaging, Licensing, GPO, BitLocker, ServiceNow, Intranet, Windows Defender, Videoconferencing, Intune, MFA, Microsoft: ATA and ATP, PPM, Avenue, Azure, Regional and Global IT Policies and Procedures. Able to support:
Windows Servers, Cloud Computing Services, DHCP, Infra RFC, CMDB, File/Print Servers, SQL, TFS, Web Server (IIS), Application Server, Azure, Legacy applications, NPM Orion, Network Monitoring and troubleshoot. Fully supporting IT in crisis, providing quick diagnostic, troubleshoot and communication to end-users. Taking part in architecture development of the local IT services. Daily and deeply involved in TCS service management. Actively involved in TCS service management, participating in weekly meetings, reviewing the operation, numbers, age of tickets, points to improve, reporting deviations, behavior, etc.
Who you are
Degree in Information Technology or related discipline. Minimum of 10 years related experience in managing and coordinating various IT infrastructure services with multi vendors and demanding business stakeholders. Strong fundamentals in ITIL, IT service management, vendor management. Strong technical and management skills. Added advantage if experience in user computing products and device management, end user support, Microsoft platform, O365, Cloud Computing, end user security, end user virtualization platforms or Microsoft related certifications. Strong fundamentals in project management English and French are mandatory, Spanish and Portuguese is a plus Availability to frequent travels (once a month) mainly inside Canada (national travels) to visit MO sites and sites inside customer mines to audit IT infrastructure and services.
