Join Canada's largest retail pharmacy company in a pivotal role as a Senior Software Engineer. This role involves leveraging advanced technologies, including Java/Spring Boot microservices, Google Cloud Platform with Kubernetes, and modern front-end frameworks such as React. As part of our commitment to revolutionizing pharmacy management, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in fast-paced, Agile team environments. You will play a crucial role in the development, design, and strategic overhaul of our next-generation system. This position offers a unique chance to upscale your skills through hands-on experience on cloud platforms and best practices in software engineering.

What You’ll Do:

Architect and develop new features while re-engineering existing components of our pharmacy management system.

Translate complex designer mock-ups and wireframes into robust front-end code.

Drive software quality by implementing comprehensive unit tests and conducting meticulous peer code reviews.

Diagnose and solve deficiencies in systems, code, and infrastructure, proposing innovative solutions to enhance performance and reliability.

Maintain rigorous documentation standards for system architecture and development processes.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software delivery processes, utilizing modern development patterns and cloud-native technologies.

What You’ll Bring:

Proven full stack development experience, with a strong focus on Java and React or other front-end technologies.

Proficient in cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure.

Extensive experience with server-side frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate.

Solid foundation in JavaScript frameworks (React preferred; VueJS or Angular beneficial), HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).

Demonstrable skills with Docker, Kubernetes, and both document-based and relational databases.

Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment environments using tools like GitLab, and managing artifacts in repositories such as GCP Artifact Registry.

Agile methodology experience with a strong sense of personal accountability.

Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
