The Sarnia manufacturing facility is the headquarters for ARLANXEO Canada Inc. with a Global Research & Development Centre for Butyl Rubber found in London, Ontario. Focused on the production of synthetic rubber, the Sarnia facility is a major supplier to both domestic and international markets and employs over 300 employees.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Operations Manager Canada, this position is a senior member of the North American Supply Chain team.
The key responsibility of the Transport Management Supervisor & Site Scheduler is preparing the detailed production schedule for the Sarnia Butyl production unit, finished product material assignment and allocation to customers, as well as managing a tolling agreement in respect to optimum grade sequence scheduling, material assignment, and comprehensive reporting.

In addition, Transport Management Supervisor & Site Scheduler supervises a team of order fulfilment representatives who handle all material flow activities involving road, rail and marine logistics of finished goods (Imports and exports), to ensure that processing of finished goods shipments to customers in NORAM and overseas are executed timely and in full, according to planned shipment and requested arrival dates. This supervision component comprises of day-to-day supervision, providing direction, and performance management/evaluation.


The position manages off spec and scrap inventories for sale, as well as works closely with the unit to manage TBR inventories while supplying detailed quality parameter skid level for both to optimize consumption.
This position requires working closely with teams in Commercial Account Managers & Customer Service, Logistics Procurement, Regional Supply Planning , Manufacturing, Quality and Accounting and Controlling teams. This position works closely with Commercial Account Managers & Customer Service, TS&D, Logistics Procurement, Regional Supply Planning (IBP), Manufacturing, Quality and Accounting and Controlling teams.
The position participates in many customer and substainabilty audits yearly and manages activties to ensure compliance.
The role includes oversight of export control and reporting, import clearance, anti-bribery, antitrust and competition, third-party agent vetting and management, supply chain security, and overall assessment and management trade regulatory risk and ensures that ARLANXEO Sarnia is in full legal compliance for its trade operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze the data needed to perform detailed weekly and monthly production scheduling by reviewing inventories, planned product availability and orders on-hand to ensure a smooth production run and execution of the Sarnia site production plan. 
• To oversee material month-end closing process, incl. inventory reconciliation and physical inventory balancing
• Improve product supply ability at optimum inventory levels across multiple warehouses by managing inventory for material picking considering packaging and quality code requirements, order and customer specification and instructing the OF team on the correct date for creation of the “outbound delivery” in SAP to meet on-time/in-full (OTIF) customer requirements. 
• Manage transport disposition, according to customer requirements for packaging, quality specifications, label requirements, as well as legal regulations and export clearance; follow-up on transportation planning, tendering, loading & execution activities, providing updates on exceptions (CPT carriers, Inland carrier for Exports, rail shipments)
• Manage the stock transfer order entry personnel to execute the Supply Planning plan and to secure adequate inventory levels of imported material from other Arlanxeo plants
• Take the lead as SAP key-user (MM/WM, PP, SD, TM, GLM modules) for implementation & enhancement projects and participate in other IT optimization programs as part of the global supply chain organization;
• Ensure that ARLANXEO Sarnia is in full legal compliance for all its trade operations.
• To steward resolution of transportation non-conformance, designated complaint resolver and reviewer for corrective action effectiveness
• To support achievement of Business Unit’s quality management system, ie. ISO 9001 and 14001 requirements

Education/Experience
Post-secondary education related to Logistics, Business Administration or Materials Management – CITT or P.Log designation is an asset.

3-5 years of experience required; 5-7 years of experience preferred.

Experience with export order fulfillment, shipping functions, freight forwarding and customs requirements.

Experience with International Trade laws, regulations and policies preferred.

Working knowledge of and experience in the rubber/chemicals/petrochemical industries preferred.

Must have:

Strong knowledge of SAP SD/WM required, TM FIORI preferred.

Strong computer skills including MS Office

Strong interpersonal communication skills, including verbal and written communication

Demonstrated ability to ensure understanding of terms and conditions with external vendors

Understanding of the transportation industry, including issues, regulations, and standards

Acute attention to detail and high degree of accuracy

Demonstrated customer focus and team-based orientation

Strong planning and organization skills, including the ability to determine priorities and multi-task in order to meet deadlines.
