Job Description

Mission 

We are looking for an engineer or a candidate to the engineering profession (CEP) to join our team specialized in transportation at our Rimouski office. You will have the opportunity to take on stimulating technical challenges and participate in training programs. You will also benefit from the support of our team, recognized across Canada for its achievements in road and rail bridge structures, as well as marine structures.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Actively participate in the design, detailed engineering and management of bridge and engineering structure projects.
  • Supervise activities under the responsibility of an engineer, ensure that work is carried out and that drawings and specifications are compliant. 
  • Carry out inspection and assessment work and establish construction schedules.
  • Carry out studies and write technical reports.
  • Validate feasibility and work execution methods.
  • Determine construction costs.
  • Provide technical support during construction.
  • Occasionally provide in-residence supervision of civil engineering construction sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a major in structural engineering or recognized equivalence (graduates welcome).
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible to become a member.
  • Experience in bridges and engineering structures. 
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Worksite safety training (ASP card).
  • AQTR training in STC-GES-2 roadwork signage supervision and monitoring (an asset).
  • Fluency in oral and written French; bilingualism is an asset to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including our clients, business partners and cross-sector teams nationwide.
