In this role, you will work with the Sous Chefs to meet the requirements of the restaurant, banquets and other catering-related policies and procedures to meet the expectations of all its guests. You will carry out all the duties in the kitchen as required by the Sous Chefs, ensuring that the necessary standards are met at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assisting the senior chefs in ensuring that fresh food and the complete menu choice are available throughout the service periodActively promote a customer-focused culture within the kitchen and service teams and promptly address customer complaints, concerns, or queriesWorking with the food service team to develop clear communication and liaison between the two areas and inclusive culture among all catering staffWorking as an active and cooperative member of the team and willing to be flexible in approaching changes in practices and guest needsParticipating in the promotion of the department's aim to meet and exceed the expectations of all its guestsSkills, Knowledge, & Abilities Required:
A good command of the English language, both spoken and writtenGood communication, interpersonal and organizational skills1-2 years of previous experience of large-volume catering to consistently high standardsA commitment to high standards of quality cateringA willingness to learn on the job and develop new skillsExperience, Training, Certification and Education:
Basic food hygiene certification or other equivalent qualificationsBasic health and safety certifications or other equivalent qualifications will be an assetPrevious experience in a similar role is an asset-
