Stuart Olson is searching for a Journeyperson Electrician to join us with an immediate start date. You will be working with our client in preparation for the 2024 turnaround If you are local to the Edmonton area and looking for a stable income, long term employment and to be home every night and have a 3 day weekend, you may be interested in this position.

Our Offer to You :

Site: Redwater Alberta

Schedule: Monday to Thursday – 10 hour days

Compensation: Compensation industry average and variable with experience

Dual Ticket Rates Available

Responsibilities

Reads and interprets electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications

Pulling cable/wire through conduits and cable trays

Installs, replaces, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and related electrical equipment

Cable glanding and Terminations

Point to Point verifications to ensure integrity and safety of installations

Ability to work off ground, with ladders, scaffolding and AWP

Ability to measure, cut, fab and install cable trays

Installation of heat trace, and heat trace components

Installation of light fixtures, junction boxes and miscellaneous pieces of equipment ranging in various weights from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.

May perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Certified Journeyman Electrician

Have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and have reliable transportation

Must have project/construction experience; ideally working in a complex operating facility.

Valid government-issued photo ID

Completion of client mandatory site training requirements, ESC Permits, Isolations and Lockouts

Strong mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities

Positive attitude towards safety with the ability to work collaboratively

Good written and verbal communication skills

Focus on customer satisfaction

Required Safety Tickets:

CSTS-20 Arc Flash Energy Safety Canada (ESC): H2s Aware Fall Arrest Confined Space an asset Aerial Work Platform required

Working Conditions

Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions Working at heights, in and around noise and dust Must be clean shaven Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots,
