Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time detail-oriented Banking Brokerage Officer to work for our client, a leader in the banking and brokerage industry, in Toronto, ON. In this role you will play a vital part in ensuring the deliver of the highest quality of customer service to clients. You will be providing day to day service to a number of independent Portfolio Managers and Introducing Brokers.

  • Pay Rate: $26.00/hour
  • Location: Toronto, ON (hybrid, 4 times per week in Office, after training 2 days from home )
  • Shift: Monday to Friday| 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 12-month contract

Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through the coordination of efforts with various internal departments and divisions within the bank
  • Ensure that a high level of customer service is maintained with our clients by keeping them informed of any new developments, products, and all available services as they relate to their business needs
  • Ensure prompt and thorough resolution of all client issues and recommend improvements in policies and procedures with the ultimate goal of continually improving our service delivery
  • On a daily basis review and approve administrative items such as; De-registrations, Bank Transfers, Foreign Exchanges and Internal Account Transfers
  • Act as a liaison with the various operational areas within the bank to ensure tasks are completed in a proactive and timely manner
  • Coordinate regular meetings with clients and document ongoing service and operational issues with respect to the client and, investigate, follow and resolve
  • Provide clients with guidance on banks' policies, procedures and training that directly impact their business
  • Provide process improvement recommendations that will enhance the overall business relationship with clients
  • Represent the bank professionally at client meetings/business functions
Qualifications:
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • University degree with a minimum of two years in a brokerage/service role
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is mandatory
  • Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) a definite asset
  • Possess knowledge of the structure, procedures and systems utilized within NBIN and Support Areas
  • Knowledge of the regulatory and legal aspects of the industry
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and also within a team environment
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who demonstrates can do attitude with the ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
