Take part in our mentorship program and further your career development Work on interesting environmental projects and solve environmental challenges in your community Have the opportunity to interact and work with a community of technical experts from other Matrix regions Join a well-respected environmental consulting company Have autonomy and the opportunity to interact and work with a community of technical experts from other Matrix regions Partner with extensive, long-standing clients such as municipal governments, conservation authorities, academia, and private industryAs a Junior Environmental Technologist Student, you will join our Weyburn, Saskatchewan office as part of our assessment, remediation, reclamation and monitoring (ARRM) team. The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of projects with responsibilities as follows:
Active participation in maintaining Matrix’s strong safety culture Assist with the field coordination and execution of Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments; remediation and ground water monitoring programs Support well abandonment activities including: surface reclamation, soil and vegetation assessments Participate in spill responses and associated clean-up activities Travel as required to support field programs Assist with other service line projects when neededWhat We Are Looking For
Must be enrolled in a technical diploma in the environmental sciences or engineering field at a post-secondary institution Function effectively as part of a collaborative team Service-oriented and have the ability to multi-task Self-motivated and possess strong written and verbal communication skills A valid driver’s license with no restrictions and clean driving recordWhy Choose Matrix
