The paint inspector is responsible for inspecting parts as they exist on the paint line to ensure the parts meet or exceed customer specifications. Any defects will be clearly identified by location and type on the part. The Paint Inspector will be responsible for accurately inputting this data into a database allowing for report analysis to match to the identification of each part with a label showing the correct program and color. Any pattern of deviation from specifications should be communicated accurately to the Team Leader and Quality Supervisor. The Paint Inspector must maintain cleanliness throughout the workstation and ensure safe practices inside the plant at all times.

Required qualification:
  • Candidates with previous paint experience will be given preference
  • Must prove ability to recognize paint, sanding, and molding defects on parts as per quality specifications and standards through testing assessment
  • Solid computer skills to enter data information accurately for all identified spoiler defects will be tested to ensure understanding and accuracy of data input at the same time using the Intermec printer for labels
  • Ability to use mathematical functions to calculate and report the percentage of paint defect
  • Ability to accurately follow operator instructions related to each specific task
  • Initiatives to take corrective actions
  • Willing to work overtime as required
  • Good written and oral communication skills to ensure understanding
  • Team player and have the ability to assist in teaching inspection techniques to others
  • Light to moderate lifting is required when checking weight requirements
  • Ability to follow Team leader’s and Quality Supervisor’s direction as required
  • Ability to perform other duties as required
