Au sujet du poste
Nous sommes à la recherche d’un ou une stagiaire dans l’équipe du Centre d’excellence en procédé. Ce poste est une excellente occasion de travailler au sein d’une équipe hautement stratégique et vous permettra de vous familiariser avec plusieurs de nos opérations et produits. Le poste est basé à Montréal – le siège social de Rio Tinto pour les Amériques.
Dans ce rôle, vous serez appelé à :
Aider l’équipe à développer des outils globaux pour comprendre l’utilisation du temps au sein de notre groupe. Ce programme vise à fournir un outil d’analyse de la «manière dont nous utilisons le temps dans nos opérations». Discuter avec les différents utilisateurs pour assurer l’intégrité des données dans la base de données et suggérer des modifications à l’ingestion des données. Soutenir le développement de différentes vues des données sur les temps d’arrêt qui visent à comprendre les facteurs sous-jacents communs et les actions potentielles pour améliorer le temps de fonctionnement des usines de traitement. Aider l’équipe à développer une analyse du taux d’utilisation du temps ou de nos actifs et à déterminer comment nous devrions exploiter ces connaissances pour accroître notre productivité.Votre contribution
Pour réussir dans ce poste, le titulaire devra avoir :
Complété avec succès 2+ années d’un baccalauréat en génie chimique ou métallurgique avec connaissances et intérêt pour l’analyse de données Une expérience préalable en métallurgie est un atout Connaissance de SQL est un atout Maitrise de l’anglais ou du français; être bilingue est un atout Excellentes compétences analytiques et en résolution de problèmes Motivé(e), désireux d’apprendre et de se développer Excellente communication écrite et orale, et capacité de travailler en équipe Capable d’être autonome et efficace dans l’établissement des priorités Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais (à l’écrit comme à l’oral) – Rio Tinto est une société mondiale; les responsabilités associées à ce poste nécessitent de collaborer quotidiennement avec des collègues, des équipes et des partenaires hors QuébecCe que nous offrons

About the role
We are currently looking for an intern in the Processing Center of Excellence team. This role is a great opportunity to work within a highly strategic team and will expose you to several of our operations and commodities. The role is based in Montreal – Rio Tinto’s hub for the Americas.
In this role you will:
Assist the team in developing global tools to understand our time usage within our group. This program aims to provide a tool to analyze ‘How we use time across our operations’. Discuss with the various users to ensure data integrity in the database and suggest modifications to data ingestion. Support the development of various views of downtime data which aims to understand common underlying factors and potential actions to improve processing plant operating time. Assist the team with developing an analysis of the rate vs time usage or our assets and how we should leverage that knowledge to increase our productivity.Your contribution
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Successfully completed 2+ years in a Bachelor of Chemical/Process Engineering with sound understanding of data analysis Prior experience in mineral processing an asset SQL knowledge is considered an asset Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Highly driven, keen to learn and develop Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team Able to be autonomous and effective at prioritizing Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
