Job Summary

We areseeking a Downstream Process Engineer with experience in NGLfractionation processes including NGL fractionation distillationgas sweetening refrigeration gas recovery dehydration Meroxutilities cryogenic loading and storage facilities. This positionis based in our Yanbu NGL Fractionation Department under WesternRegion Manufacturing where you will support and oversee theperformance of facility assets.

Your primaryrole will be to provide exceptional process engineering supportensuring the operation of facilities in a safe reliable andeconomical manner. You will be expected to achieve target goalswhile aligning with the companys strategic imperatives.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Perform indepth plant monitoring and optimize theperformance of assigned units by overseeing operations and economiclosses. Issue detailed reports to recommend changes supported bysimulation models to optimize unit operations.
  • Lead unit operations troubleshooting and investigateoffspec products and plant trips/upsets. Manage the requireddeliverables and support operations during turnarounds andunplanned shutdowns/startups by understanding the unit operatingconditions and transient effects to recommend operationalimprovements.
  • Perform specific tasks such ascatalyst/desiccant forecasts/evaluations test runs debottleneckingstudies due diligence assessments enhancement studies and HAZOPstudies.
  • Take on the lead role in processsafety management overseeing HAZOP PSR SIL PSSR RA and alarmrationalization. Lead HAZOP/Process Safety Reviews of plantoperations and new modifications.
  • Manage longand shortterm projects by proposing major projects to improvesafety reliability and profitability. Prepare design requestsbudget justifications and detailed implementation plans foreconomically justifiable projects. Develop detailed engineeringdesign packages for inhouse processoriented projects and follow upon implementation.
  • Ensure environmental andsafety awareness by working closely with the facility Safety andEnvironment management to improve safety and achieve the highestenvironmental standards.
  • Liaise with vendorsand technology licensors for process enhancements andchanges.
  • Train younger or lessexperiencedengineers by providing necessary guidance assessing strengths andskills in need of improvement. Serve as a technical mentor/advisorto enhance the technical knowledge of the engineers throughpractical field discussions demonstrations and/or simulations usingavailable engineering aids.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to relocate toDhahran Saudi Arabia.
  • You musthold a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognizedand approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • You should have a minimum of 10 years of total NGL/LPGprocess units experience (process engineering and operations) withat least 10 years experience in handling gas processing and NGLfractionation.
  • Exposure to different licensortechnologies for gas processing and NGL fractionation is a plus andfamiliarity with Honeywell UOP and Shell licensed units ispreferred.
  • Certified PHA/HAZOPleader.
  • You must be able to carry out processsimulation using the Aspen software package.
