Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Program: Finance

Status: Permanent Full-Time

Location: Remote – Victoria, BC preferred

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join our dynamic team. This position is responsible for managing WCG’s budget process, financial forecasting, commercial modelling and cost tracking for RFPs and internal projects, and driving improvement. This position will employ a continuous improvement mindset to identify and produce opportunities for enhancement of the budgeting process as well as other financial areas such as reporting and forecasting.

What you’ll do

Budget/Forecasts Management: Lead Annual Budget process; build and update existing budget processes while analyzing and looking for ways to make improvements Commercial Modelling: Build new commercial models or modify existing ones using Excel and other forecasting/reporting tools; interpret and validate data to ensure accuracy and reasonableness Project Accounting: Lead Cost Accounting projects for key projects including forecasting, tracking and analysis Financial Reviews: Manage financial forecasting, including the provision of insights trends and key drivers (incl. non-financial metrics) to enhance business performance. Continuous Improvement : Collaborate in the process of identifying areas of weakness, inefficiency and ineffectiveness in systems and processes and plan, design and implement improvements; champion business improvement initiatives to ensure consistency with wider business goals and values
