Our client is a reputable law firm, that has offices all over the country and abroad. They are actively looking for a Research Librarian with legal knowledge, to join their office in Ottawa. The person will also work with the Toronto office on major projects.

Your responsibilities:

• Conduct research and synthetize results for lawyers, clients and staff use;
• Inform lawyers of new developments and updates;
• Design and deliver training for lawyers, law students and staff regarding research methods, technologies and resources available;
• Support the national library team and help with requested research;
• Assist in the evaluation and maintenance of information services, in accordance with the firm’s strategic direction;
• Manage the local library collection.

To qualify for this position, you need to:

• Have completed a master’s degree in library science or another relevant education;
• Justify of at least one (1) year of experience in a similar environment, with legal knowledge;
• Have presentation and teaching skills;
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities;
• Have strong interpersonal skills.
