Role

Reporting to the Equipment Coordinator, the role of Hydrovac Operator is to operate and maintain hydrovac Trucks for various projects. The Hydrovac Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating all functions of the tandem and Tri axle trucks in various setting within Southern Alberta..

Responsibilities

  • Operate hydrovac truck and perform excavation activities as per work requirements
  • Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with the company's safety policies and regulations
  • Perform and document pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment
  • Properly use and maintain equipment, including conducting routine maintenance and repairs
  • Coordinate with project team members to ensure efficient operations and safe work environment.
  • Complete required paperwork and document project activities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class 1 or 3 driver's license with airbrake endorsement
  • Electronic Logbook Adherence
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating hydrovac equipment
  • Experience in industrial or construction settings
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labor when required
