GardaWorld Security Services is currently seeking Casual Airport Security Guards to join our team at Edmonton International Airport. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the safety and security of passengers, employees, and facilities within the airport premises.

Casual employees will have the opportunity to work flexible hours, with the potential for full-time employment in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage access points to restricted areas of the airport, verifying credentials and authorizing entry for authorized personnel only. Conduct regular patrols of designated areas within the airport, including terminals, concourses, parking lots, and perimeter fences, to deter and detect security breaches or suspicious activities. Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, following established protocols and procedures. Provide assistance and guidance to passengers and visitors regarding airport facilities, directions, and emergency procedures in a courteous and professional manner. Complete accurate and detailed reports documenting security incidents, patrols, and activities as required, maintaining clear and concise records. Collaborate with airport personnel, law enforcement agencies, and other security professionals to coordinate security efforts and ensure effective communication during emergencies or critical incidents. Participate in training and development programs to enhance security knowledge, emergency response skills, and familiarity with airport procedures and regulations. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and security regulations, policies, and procedures, contributing to a safe and secure airport environment for all stakeholders. Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold GardaWorld's standards of conduct at all times, demonstrating integrity, reliability, and a commitment to excellence in security service delivery.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in security-related fields is preferred. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Prior experience in security, military, law enforcement, or related fields is an asset but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals in various situations. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and perform patrols for extended periods. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to providing exceptional security services.
