Reporting to the Project Manager, The Procurement Specialist will oversee and manage the procurement process for our infrastructure engineering projects.

What you will be working on:

Develop and implement procurement strategies for civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Identify potential suppliers, evaluate proposals, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring best value for money. Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in accordance with legal and ethical standards. Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and addressing any issues that may arise. Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements and develop procurement plans accordingly. Monitor supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans as necessary. Develop and maintain procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance metrics. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to procurement activities.

What we are looking for:

post-secondary education, such as a degree or diploma in a related field, and/or relevant combination of experience. 4+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the infrastructure industry. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and supplier management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that support business objectives. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to procurement activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
