Requirements
Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma from a recognized, post-secondary institution.
Member in good standing or eligible for membership with British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM)
Current First Aid Certificate
Food Safe Certificate
About The Role
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at our Hallmark at the Park community in Baptist Housing, you’ll embrace a person-centred approach to care, contributing to comprehensive care planning and evaluating service delivery. Adhering to the highest standards of practice and ethics outlined by the BCCNM, your role will involve a diverse range of nursing interventions, from assessments to medication administration. You'll collaborate closely with Registered Nurses (RNs) for complex cases and consultations and, under the guidance of managers and RNs, implement wellness programs, fostering a positive environment for both teams and residents. You will also maintain meticulous resident charting and information using advanced systems like Point-Click Care and EMAR, ensuring accurate reporting of acute resident information to our RNs. As an ambassador of Baptist Housing, you’ll model our ministry values and demonstrate servant leadership by prioritizing the needs of others and maintaining positive relationships with residents, team members, families, and partners. Abbotsford is a vibrant city that harmoniously combines agriculture and culinary experiences the beauty of nature and diverse community. Hallmark on the Park, our three-story assisted living care community is nestled in an idyllic lake and park setting within Abbotsford.

You are a dedicated LPN whose approach to care is defined by compassion and empathy. Your ability to connect with residents on a personal level goes beyond fulfilling your duties; it's a heartfelt commitment to exceeding their needs. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to convey instructions clearly and maintain a sense of calm in challenging situations. Your resilience shines through in complex and stressful moments, demonstrating adaptability and organizational prowess in adjusting care strategies as needed. Residents feel valued and heard in your presence, thanks to your attentive listening and genuine care. Your medical knowledge encompasses not only the normal aging process but also the complexities of altered cognitive function and age-related diseases, allowing you to tailor care strategies accordingly. You possess a deep understanding of medication administration protocols, standard precaution techniques, outbreak management, and pain management strategies, among other essential elements of healthcare delivery. Your collaborative nature has earned you the respect of your colleagues, who see you as a valuable team member. You bring a sense of humor and a fun-loving spirit to the care environment, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all.

Compensation and Benefits
Level 3 LPNs are compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $31.89-$40.15.
