Shermco Canada is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician. JOURNEYPERSON ELECTRICIAN Join our electrical operations team in BC. The Journeyperson Electrician will provide construction, maintenance and commissioning services to our clients. Job Responsibilities: • Construct, alter, repair and test all electrical components that are integral to the operations of industrial activities • Install new and maintain low, medium and high-voltage equipment • Commissioning of electrical systems • Troubleshoot electrical power and control system • Work in industrial work settings • Workaround energized power and control equipment • Determine the appropriate selection of materials/tools/equipment • Keep maintenance/quality/test reports and documentation • Work in a fast-paced environment Qualifications: • Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyperson certificate • Must have experience in industrial setting • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to maintain a clean abstract • Must be available to work out-of-town and regular overnight travel Other Requirements: • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy • High level of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism and accountability • Analytical, time management, and logical decision-making capabilities • Calm, positive attitude under pressure • Strong communication skills • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment • An aptitude and willingness to learn and proven initiative Pay Scale: $45 to $55 depending on experience Overtime after 8 hours, Double time after 10 hours
