Responsibilities

•Provide support to the Operations team. 

•Provide support to the Sales team at accounts requiring product introduction and scale-ups or to assist in trouble-shooting quality complaints.

•Participate in the review and selection of new equipment.

•Assist Sales team in the evaluation of new business opportunities.

•Work on packaging related issues or problems that affect the efficiency of a package filling operation in customer’s plant.

•Visit our core customer’s facilities on a regular basis, develop relationships with their technical staffs and packaging engineers.

•Work on sustainable packaging, with an emphasis on assisting our core customers to meet their sustainability goals.

•Communicate applicable marketing intelligence to the appropriate salespeople or managers.

•Advise upper management of production deficiencies in material, machinery, or personnel. 

•Develop new products; manage and coordinate product development projects. 

•Evaluate and resolve technical feasibility, design optimization, and production issues. 

•As required, provide customer support for new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

•Organized and methodical to meet strict deadlines.

•Ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical functions.

•Thorough knowledge of package making techniques and customary package substrates. 

•Manufacturing floor experience.

•Strong oral and written communication skills.

•Knowledge of packaging machinery. - both in our facilities and our customer’s facilities.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

•Four-year degree (Engineering degree preferred) 

• Three to Five years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
