Inaccordance with established vision and values of the organization, thisposition performs a variety of stores duties in designated areas of thewarehouse and logistics operations of Interior Health such as shipping andreceiving, filling requisitions/orders, unpacking, checking, storing anddistributing supplies/goods.

·Receives, unpacks andchecks incoming materials from suppliers; ensures that supplies/goods aredelivered as per specifications; and completes related paper work such assigning delivery slips. Sorts and places articles in appropriate areas; rotatesstock and ensures inventory shelves/areas are kept clean and tidy.

·Checks invoices againstorders and supplies/goods and resolves discrepancies with suppliers and/ordepartments.

·Assembles, issues andships supplies/goods from requisition requests received; loads orders ontocarts for delivery; and completes required documentation in accordance withestablished procedures.

·Identifies damaged/spoiledgoods and advises appropriate personnel in accordance with establishedprocedures; arranges for delivery and return of loan and return items; returnsdamaged or spoiled goods to supplier as required/directed. Completesappropriate documentation.

·Performs physicalinventory counts and maintains inventory records. Replenishes stock based onestablished minimum/maximum levels and advises when established re-order pointsare reached in accordance with established procedures; makes adjustments to stockitems in accordance with established guidelines; makes recommendations forchanges to inventory items and/or levels.

·Maintains records andprovides information regarding stores activities; ensures correct coding onstock items; maintains security measures.

·Picks up and delivers avariety of supplies and/or materials to and from various locations inaccordance with established policies, procedures and schedules asrequired. 

·Transports a variety ofsupplies and/or materials to and from delivery locations by operating a varietyof vehicles including trucks up to 10,000 lbs or 4536 Kg gross vehicle weightas required.

·Performs a variety ofroutine inspection/maintenance duties on vehicles and equipment such assecuring load, cleaning, checking belts, lights and tires and maintaining fluidlevels; recommends vehicle and equipment repairs asrequired. Maintains related documentation such as log books asrequired.

·Keeps assigned storesarea(s) and goods and supplies in a clean and tidy condition.

·Participates incontinuous quality improvement activities by performing duties such asproviding input/feedback to the Manager (or designate) on work procedures andopportunities for process improvement.

·Assists with orientingnew staff by performing duties such as demonstrating work procedures anddemonstrating use of equipment.

·Performs other relatedduties as required.

Qualifications
 Education, Training and Experience
 Grade 12plus one year’s recent related experience or an equivalent combination ofeducation, training and experience. Valid Class 5 vehicle license.

·Ability to deal withothers effectively.

·Physical ability tocarry out the duties of the position.

·Ability to operaterelated equipment.
