Your Opportunity:
The Senior Advisor (EMS Learning & Development) position is primarily responsible for the online development of training with the EMS environment. The Senior Advisor leads and conducts primarily provincial learning projects related to EMS. The Senior Advisor leads various projects using project management principles and process. The Senior Advisor consults with various stakeholders in developing curriculum relevant to the EMS environment. The Senior Advisor is also responsible for the implementation and program evaluation of online training activities.The Senior Advisor position designs, develops, directs, and may deliver education to AHSEMS practitioners. The Senior Advisor will use a variety of online program software to develop online training and may be required to develop in classroom curriculum as well. The Senior Advisor will be responsible for program/project evaluation, learning transfer, data collection and reporting of training. The Senior Advisor maintains clinical awareness by participating in monthly EMS ride a longs.

Required Qualifications:University Degree/Diploma or certificate and/or currently enrolled in attaining a related post secondary degree or certificate (preference to have adult education related focus)Five years of experience within EMS or related field (Nursing, Respiratory Therapy) Registration as an Advanced Care Paramedic in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics (or registration in equivalent field)Education and/or experience in online learning development and program software.Education/experience in adult education.The ability to participate in monthly ride a longs with EMS crews.

Preferred Qualifications:Excellent written and verbal communication.Established pattern of lifelong learning.Supervisory or Leadership education and/or experience.Experience and/or Education with Adobe Captivate and/or Lectora authoring software.Experience and/or education in project management.
