About the role


Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular part-time Resource Trainer - Donor Centre to join our dynamic Donor Relations team. 

The  Donor Relations & Collections East  team is responsible for supporting all Supply Chain training activities within the Region. In this role, you will assist and coordinate training requirements for the department. 

Formula for success

Utilizing your expertise on operating procedures and regulatory requirements, you will coordinate training requirements, by identifying staff training needs. Leveraging your excellent coaching skills, you will deliver related content and facilitate training classrooms. Drawing on your knowledge or experience of all Donor Centre programs, you will contribute, as needed, to the development and modification of the national training program, including training standards development and documentation. Utilizing your superior interpersonal and communication skills you will assist with the implementation of new projects and processes. With your continuous improvement mindset and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice, you will identify and periodically perform procedures to maintain competency and efficiency in training requirements.↵

Desired education and skills

Degree in education and/or nursing. Previous experience in adult teaching/educator or training role. 2 - 4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. ISTP certification preferred. Prior experience working in a regulated environment is a definite asset. Knowledge of all Donor Centre programs, including whole blood, autologous/directed and apheresis is an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Technical skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
