The School of Nursing in Dalhousie’s Faculty of Health invites applications from qualified candidates for a full-time, 2-year limited term faculty position at rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, specializing in Community/Population Health/Family.

The Faculty of Health is one of the largest faculties at Dalhousie, comprised of eight schools, one college and one program, more than 200 faculty members, 80 staff members, and over 3,000 students. The successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduate and/or graduate students as well as mentor/advise graduate students. The teaching assignments will include teaching in community/population health/family; as well as courses to reflect the expertise of the successful candidate within the needs of the School. Courses will encompass interprofessional education, in- person, online, context-based, and/or clinical simulation learning.

Applicants must hold a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing; a Master’s degree in Nursing and/or another health discipline; PhD prepared an asset, in Nursing and/or another health discipline. All applicants must have demonstrated a commitment to developing excellence in their teaching and practice. A combination of four to five years’ clinical and teaching experience in community/population health/family is required. Applicants must be eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing. The candidate is expected to become an active and engaged member of the School, Faculty and University. Activities at local, national and international levels are expected to promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning at Dalhousie. There is no expectation of a research workload associated with this position.

Applications from interested individuals will be considered for a FTE limited term teaching appointment at the rank of Assistant, or Associate, Professor for 2-years effective July 1, 2025, or earlier as negotiated.
