Possibility of working night shift when required 
Night shift, Monday to Friday, 1pm to 9pm

We are currently seeking an individual for the role of Laboratory Technician at our production laboratory located in Kemptville. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, time management and analytical skills.

Responsibilities include:

Use of accepted protocols to ensure that all processes required for routine semen production meet established quality and quantity guidelinesLabeling, dilution, fill-sealing, racking, freezing, extender-supplies, maintenance, lab collection equipment hygiene, lab cleanliness, and liquid nitrogen dispensingLab database management and maintenance of records and lab material inventoriesParticipating in occasional staff meetings

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

College Diploma or equivalent education and experienceExperience in a lab production facility preferredUnderstanding of lab production, quality control, production database maintenance and recordingAbility to work in a team environmentPhysically fit with acute manual dexterity, and able to stand for long periods of time.Able to tolerate work in the cold room environment with temperatures ranging from 3°- 25° CKnowledge of the agriculture industry is an assetAbility to converse with clients in English and French is an asset
