Implementing Diversity: Cultural Communities and Power in Canada

Compensation

Effective September 1, 2024 - $7, per half course (195 hours nominally)
Effective September 1, 2024 - $14, per full course (390 hours nominally)
Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Duties

Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).

Qualifications

1. PhD or ABD status in a Doctoral program in one of the following fields: Canadian Studies, History (with a specialty in Canadian History), or Literature (with a specialty in Canadian Literature).

2. Candidates will be selected based on successful academic teaching experience and teaching competence.

3. Knowledge of Canadian Studies relevant to the applicable course.

4. Demonstrated experience with online instruction and seminar leading.

5. In the absence of applicants who meet the qualifications above, candidates with a Master's degree with evidence of strong background in Canadian Studies, may also be deemed suitable.
