Position and Responsibilities

CFM Cobourg requires a wall reduction operator to support Calandria production. The role will primarily involve performing standard production tasks necessary to support the business.

Requirements include the following.

Be qualified for internal pickling process procedures. Safe handling of Hydrofluoric Acid. Follow all prescribed work instructions. Be trained and qualified in multiple other mechanical processes to support the project's success. Work shifts (including split) and OT as required. Lift and carry tubes (22 kg) 8 to 10 times daily (approx. frequency) – note: all lifts require two operators. Complete other tasks as requested by the Supervisor, Lead Hand or designate. Strong team player with a strong work ethic and ability to maintain positive working relations with co-workers and clients. Exceptional safety and quality awareness. Inspection and test equipment to monitor and check product quality according to written instructions. Use of precision measuring devices.

Education and Qualifications

Requirements of the position:

1 or 2-year diploma in Chemical handling/processing

OR

3 to 5 years of industrial experience

Assets:

Previous qualification and/or previous calandria tube manufacturing experience
