Your Opportunity:

We’re seeking an experienced IT professional to join AHS’ Network and Telecom team as a third line support to the organization’s end users and other IT groups; ultimately impacting patient outcomes and the lives of Albertans. Take on complex network problems, allowing for skill enhancement in the areas of, project leadership & delivery, network updates and deployment of new infrastructure. Develop leadership skills in the workplace as you coordinate with ITA1s, ITA2s, supervisors, specialists, other departments, vendors and stakeholders to implement solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Forescout Network Access Control (NAC) platform. providing network administration support and creating documentation to ensure the smooth operation of AHS network infrastructure. Key responsibilities:Manage and maintain the Forescout NAC platform including device discovery, policy management and reporting.Provide technical support for network-related issues, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, policies and procedures.Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and technologies.Stay up to date with the latest Forescout software releases and patches to ensure optimal performance and security.Troubleshoot issues with device connectivity, policy enforcement, and other NAC related problems.

Description:

As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. You will also spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience with NAC technologies, 3 or more years work experience in a large IT environment. Ability to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, ability to sit working a computer for extended periods, ability to stand, lift, climb ladders, bend, crawl in confined spaces, work in a variety of indoor/outdoor environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant technical certifications are an asset, experience in healthcare and understanding of patient care needs.Experience with NAC technologies, preference give to Forescout. Experience in Cisco networking technologies.Experience in network security technologies.
