The Opportunity
As part of our Operations Team in Toronto, the outbound Planner is responsible for:
Manage an effective preplanning for an assigned region based on: customer requirements, planning requirements in other regions, equipment requirements and any special needs requests applicable to drivers and/or equipment located in your direct managed area. Enter the “Non Committed” preplan into the computer promptly Work with Driver Coordinators to achieve Driver needs and goal Implement efficient equipment utilization Monitor and maintain customer trailer pools Work with customers, other carriers and load brokers to balance the trucks Related duties assigned by supervision or managementWhat you will get from the role:

Must be fluently bilingual (French and English) Minimum of 2 years experience in effective trip planning Strong self discipline - to effectively complete tasks without constant supervision Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills Good verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills Effective geographical knowledge of North America Must be willing and able to work Statutory holidays when required Effective computer keyboard skills ACE and Customs/border crossing experience an asset AS400/ICC experience an asset Available to work Monday to Friday 4:00pm to 12:00amIf you are looking to join a premier transportation company, and become an integral part of results oriented team who constantly challenge themselves to Go The Distance for our customers and for each other, the role of Outbound Planner may be right for you.
