The Stockroom receiver is responsible for handling, moving, loading, and unloading materials for internal and external requests. Tasks and Responsibilities Prepare orders;
Process received requests and route or distribute parts and supplies;
Verify and weigh materials, products, and merchandise received according to the order;
Arrange items in an orderly and accessible manner in the department;
Occasionally conduct cycle counts and complete daily reports and forms related to inventory, as needed;
Identify pallets using the appropriate label;
Unload received merchandise from trailers using a forklift and electric pallet jack;
Validate items and quantities received or shipped against internal and external purchase orders;
Conduct searches in the computerized inventory system and enter data;
Deliver requested merchandise and route documents to the appropriate departments;
Adhere to current health and safety standards within the company;
Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements Hold a forklift and electric pallet jack driving license.
Have a basic knowledge of inventory items.
Knowledge of metric and imperial measurements.
Be a responsible, meticulous, and autonomous person.
Possess good teamwork skills Demonstrated Skills Ability to work without supervision.
Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment.
Ability to lift maximum weights of 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a noisy and hot environment.
Ability to work with hazardous products.
