You as an Estimator will:

Be part of an Estimating team to assist with the completion of bids and budgets under pressure while building strong relationships with sub-trades Utilizing established systems and software to assemble accurate, timely and well organized estimates for construction management, design build, and lump sum procurement models.  Organize sub-contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re-writing binders and handover documents.  Monitor the success of a project, noting potential challenges and building relationships with sub-trades for future opportunities Distribute sub-trade quotes to personnel, flagging areas of concern and coordinating with management to accommodate risk within the bid price Maintain databases, including subcontractor contacts, labour rates, material pricing and project costs, for future reference

Is this the right role for you?

You have a construction-related degree/diploma and a minimum of 5 years of estimating experience.  Ability to use Compass and CostX software is an asset. You have a working knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts Estimating experience in Design Build, Lump Sum, and Construction Management contracts would be considered an asset.  You have the ability to work effectively and accurately in time-sensitive situations within a team in an office environment.  Be comfortable working autonomously, while providing updates when needed, and following EllisDon procedures at all times
