Position Summary:


The Registered Pharmacy Technician will provide safe and effective drug distribution services to numerous facilities. This may include gained knowledge in geriatrics, palliative care, and mental health medications as well as developing quick and accurate checking skills to support final checks in compounding, compliance packaging and other prescription requirements.

Your Day to Day:

Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic Provide final check in a team-based workflow environment and also being involved in the quality assurance team Confirm accuracy and completeness of pharmaceutical products prepared for delivery Accept verbal prescriptions from prescribing authorities Perform the final check of prepared prescriptions

What You Bring to The Team:

Current registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) Experience working as a Registered Pharmacy Technician strongly preferred Knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset Retail/Community/Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred Demonstrated computer or word processing skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively under pressure Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage priorities in a time sensitive environment; possesses strong organizational skills Ability to benefit from coaching and instruction for quality processes; comfort with and accepting of constructive feedback
