Job Description

FLINT seeks skilled Journeyperson Rig Welders to join our team for an exciting and significant maintenance project. This is a prime opportunity for experienced Welders to showcase their expertise and contribute to the success of a dynamic and challenging project.

What would you be doing?   

Interpret welding procedure specifications.  Read and interpret blueprints.  Blind Vessel and Boltup for Hydrotesting Working with Cranes. Prepare jigs or set-ups for welding.  Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.  Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.  Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment and hoisting and lifting equipment.  Must pass job test before mobilization is examined with Phased Array UT. Other tasks as required.

Journeyperson Welder ticket. Carbon Steel TIG Welder Preferred. Vessel Shop Experience an Asset. Gouging on Vessels Experience an Asset. H2S Alive, CSTS-2020, Fall Protection, AWP, and Standard First Aid safety tickets are mandatory. Have and ensure safety as a top priority. Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required. Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
