The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the rank of Assistant Professor, with a proposed starting date of July 1, 2024. As an institution committed to the fostering of an inclusive and transformative learning environment, UNBC values high quality and growth in both teaching and scholarship.

The successful candidate will specialize in areas such as analysis and applied mathematics, computational mathematics. Experience in machine learning, or data science will be considered an asset. The ideal candidate will be equipped to contribute to academic programs in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, and Data Science. Moreover, they should be interested in establishing interdisciplinary collaborations, allowing for seamless work with colleagues across the diverse research avenues present within the Faculty of Science and Engineering and the larger UNBC community.
