Responsibilities:

Inspecting trucks, trailers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance. Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment. Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts. Repairing damaged equipment parts. Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty and automotive vehicles. Repairing and servicing machine attachments. Performing major repair work when necessary. Driving to various job sites. Consulting with other Mechanics and Supervisor when needed.

Desired skills and Experience:

Trade Certification/Red Seal as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or in a registered trade program. 2 or more years of experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic or a similar role. Must have a Class 5 driver’s license. Preference will be given to candidates with a CVIP license  Proven work experience with diesel or heavy equipment. Understanding of computer testing technologies. Ability to lift heavy machinery. Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic & electrical systems, and construction equipment. Ability to work after-hours if required. Good communication skills.
