Jardeg is recruiting for a Pipefitter Lead Hand to join our Bonnyville Fabrication Shop team located in Bonnyville, AB. This is a temporary full-time position on a 10/4 OR a 5/2 rotation.

 

Bonnyville Fabrication Shop does  fabrication and installation of process piping, structural steel and skid packages for the oil and gas industry anywhere in Alberta.  For over 40 years, the Bonnyville office and team have been providing specialized material requirements and technical services and support for industrial construction and applications. As a longtime part of the Bonnyville and area community, we take pride in supporting and contributing to local organizations that improve and enhance community life.

 

*Previous fabrication and assembly shop experience considered an asset*

 

Responsibilities:

  • Must have experience in hydrotesting.

  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.

  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.

  • Gather all pipe fittings required for the drawing package, document heat numbers, cutting pipe, prep fittings, prepping dregs/trunnions.

  • Set up fittings and pipe to be tacked, tacking experience required.

  • Experience with Fabrication and Assembly.

  • Able to read and interpret Acorn & isometric drawings.

  • Lead a small group of employees in the same trade, playing an intermediate role between workers and supervisors and is responsible for the smooth and safe operation of the team.

 

Requirements:

  • Journeyperson Certification required.

  • Construction Safety Training Systems 2020 Certification required.

  • WHMIS 2015

  • AWP

  • Fall Protection

  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
