What YOU Will Do
Pomerleau is looking for a Project Control Manager assigned to a Major Project. As an integral part of the corporate project control department and reporting to the project director, your main responsibilities will be to organize and supervise project control activities on a major project.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Organization and facilitation of the Project Control team.
Definition and monitoring of individual objectives: planning, resource management, and retention.
Ensure the consistency of processes across the departments that make up the project control department – propose updates as needed. Prepare the project dashboard and ensure the monitoring of performance indicators – cost, schedule, earned value, among others. Support the project management in the contractual management as well as in change management. Ensure proper communication of changes and the evolution of risks across different departments. Implement appropriate tracking tools between cost control and the schedule for monitoring progress and earned value. Adjust the project budget. Risks: Facilitate the animation and continuous improvement of the risk management process, including organizing review meetings, tracking action plans, and communicating major risks. Organization, updating, and monitoring of contractual deliverables. Monitor the production of mandatory registers and reports. Organization and participation in the drafting of various project reports: information research, follow-ups – implementation of processes and automations. Deployment of Major Projects system tools on your project while ensuring their proper use and promotion.
What YOU Will Bring
Engineering or university degree in business administration or any other relevant field.
12 years of experience in project control within the construction industry.
Management skills: 5 years of experience in team management.
Excellent proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
Good adaptability to IT tools - Familiarity with P6 - SAP and InEight knowledge would be a plus.
Bilingual in English and French.
Experience in communicating with diverse teams.
Precision and organizational skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Communication skills.
Project management skills.
