partnerstaffingonbehalf of our Client is looking to find an experienced ElectricalHeat Transfer Engineer for a 68 month contract with one of thelarge oil companies based here inCalgary.




Requirements
  • Thoroughknowledge of Electrical engineering techniques the design ofengineered systems engineering and designcalculations.
  • Understandsthe standard engineering work planning scheduling and costestimating.
  • Performengineering and design duties associated with project scope of workand liaise with other disciplines and projectmanagement.
  • Performengineering and design activities including electrical single linediagrams wiring diagrams and schematics EHT design and all otherElectricaldeliverables.
  • Performengineering for procurement activities including RFQ/MRPdevelopment technical evaluation and vendor drawingapprovals.
  • Performengineering development of Construction Work Package includingproject description construction specifications IFC drawings andMTOs.
  • Provideconstruction support asrequired.
  • Followand adhere to industry and Canadian Natural codes standards andregulations

Skills&Qualifications

  • Graduatedand hold a degree in ElectricalEngineering
  • Registeredand in good standing withAPEGA
  • 5years experience in an electrical engineering role working in oilsands facilities with hands on electrical engineering design andconstruction ispreferred
  • Proficiencyin EHTDesign
  • Strongcommunication skills including a proven track record of clear andflexible communicationstyles
  • Ableto expedite issues in a large multidiscipline team towardsresolution

Responsibilities: The Responsibilities of this position include butare not limited to the following: Attend site meetings Serve asmain point of contact for the builder for any project-relatedquestions/requests Understand project specifications and objectivesProactively identify potential issues Report on milestone dates anddeliverables Respond to field issues and questions with engineeringand other resources as required Investigate claims promptly andresolve them fairly Proactive approach to change orders Support andengage in a collaborative work environment Liaise with Architect,Client, Contractor, Owner, Specialty Consultants, Project Manager,Job Captain and Project Engineer Complete time critical reportsincluding Request for Information, Contemplated Revisions, ChangeOrders, Field Review, Pricing Review, Progress Claim Review Issueand sign off on Site Deficiency Reports, verify and accept As BuiltDrawings and Operational and Maintenance Manuals and ensure allrequired information has been received prior to issuance of ClosingLetters Provide customer service levels that meet or exceedcustomers' expectations Actively work on multiple projectssimultaneously Overtime as required Education & Experience:Educational or trade background in electrical design Designbackground in building technology is a definite asset Minimum 5years of experience in a similar role Experience in buildingGeneral Reviews Excellent communication skills, both written andverbal Proven ability to meet deadlines/successful completion ofdeliverables Ability to communicate and work well with otherdepartments Excellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work under pressure Team and client-focusedSelf-motivated, hardworking, flexible Technical Abilities:Candidates must have a good working knowledge of currentconstruction practices, including working drawing production andconstruction reviews, as well as specifications, contracts andconsultant agreements.
