:Sociopolitical and Economic Perspectives in Health
Examination of the social, political and economic perspective on health care issues regionally, provincially, nationally and internationally. Study of the social structure of the Canadian health care system with a focus on the contemporary period as well as critical historical junctures.
Prerequisite: HSS1101. The courses HSS2321, APA3142, SOC2101 cannot be combined for credits.

- Masters Degree in Health Sciences or equivalent

- Teaching experience at university level

- Training or demonstrated experience in the following areas: evolution and modernization of the Canadian health care system; funding models for healthcare in Canada and other countries; roles of different health organizations; theoretical models of health systems; health policy

Schedule:

Mondays from 2:30:00 PM to 3:50:00 PM

Thursdays from 4:00:00 PM to 5:20:00 PM
